This image documents grassroots mobilization efforts in New York City for one of the largest demonstrations in U.S History. Planning for the March on Washington required immense coordination by leaders like Rustin and Robinson, who's behind-the scenes strategizing helped gather over 250,000 demonstrators in Washington DC on August 28, 1963
